In my previous article, I’ve shared my experiences on the villas and facilities at Cauayan Island Resort. This time round, I’m sharing about the spa and massage experience at the resort. Look forward to rejuvenating yourselves with signature island massages that soothe your entire body, relax the mind and invigorate the soul. The spa treatment room is surrounded by floor to ceiling glass windows which look out to gorgeous views of the island. It’s the first time I tried my best not to drift off to dreamland during the massage session as the glass bottom floor allows me to observe colourful fishes and corals. I was lucky enough to spot a baby shark!

There are three options for the Spa Massages, namely the Cauayan Signature Massage, the Cauayan Deep Tissue Massage and the Cauayan Foot Reflex. I tried the 90 minutes Cauayan Signature Massage – a timeless full body Swedish massage that uses long, gentle, flowing strokes and stretching technique to induce deep relaxation, improves blood flow, relieves aching muscles and eliminate toxins. The massage therapist who attended to me was very professional and has really good techniques. A foot bath is included at the beginning of the spa treatment and the experience ends with tea and cookies.

The spa also offers Cauayan Body Scrub and Wrap, Cauayan Detoxifying Treatments and In-Room Massages. I felt that the spa menu is thoughtfully designed. The After Sun Body Wrap is so ideal for vacationers travelling in El Nido since all you can do in this tropical paradise are island-hopping and spending long hours in the sun. There’s also a kids massage that caters to the little ones so they wouldn’t feel bored and left out while their parents indulge in a spa treatment.
