Celebrating Christmas with a Photoshoot with Sweet Escape (Discount Included!)

November 17, 2018

I seldom share about my personal life online, but I’m going to elaborate on my fun and engaging relationship with Jayden (yup, I finally gave him name, instead of mentioning just “my boyfriend” all these while). We’ve known each other since 2010, and our friendship blossomed into true love 5 years ago. Despite embarking on very different career paths, we support each other in what we do, and that’s how our dreams begin to come true, one by one, slowly but surely.

We made a promise to travel together at least once a year, and we love getting away at year end due to the festive season which brings on a vibrant and exciting atmosphere. We usually shoot using the tripod, or the drone, and Jayden tends to shy away from the camera. He’s not the typical insta-boyfriend who is tolerant of the constant interruptions that come along with the blogging business. Sometimes, he gets so frustrated when I take too long to “perfect” a shot, especially at crowded places where I insist on waiting till people get out of the frame.

Needless to say, Jayden is absolutely pleased with the introduction of “Sweet Escape”. This photography app allows us to book local photographers from over 400 cities around the world. It has a network of over 2,000 local photographers worldwide, and they are handpicked with the right skills and style. The app is pretty easy to use, and you’ll be connected to a photographer in just 3 simple steps:
1. Choose your city and book your photoshoot
2. Chat with your assigned photographer on the app about the style and poses you like for the photoshoot.
3. In 3 business days, you can choose and download up to 40 high resolution and edited photos.

Jayden and I decided on a Christmas photoshoot along Orchard Road in Singapore, our hometown. Our Sweet Escape photographer, James, is very experienced and has a keen eye for details. Before the shoot, he had already scouted the photography location. During the shoot, he guided us on the poses and made us feel relaxed. We’re impressed because he captured the moments and our feelings and expressions, instead of just shots of us standing still and posing. While Jayden tends to feel awkward whenever we shoot using the tripod, he was surprised that he was actually having a lot of fun and enjoying the photoshoot.

Sweet Escape allowed us to download the images 3 working days after the photoshoot, and we were happy with the photos. This app is very useful, and the photographers are prepared to shoot anytime, anywhere, and for any occasion. Moreover, if you are on a vacation, the photographer will not only take beautiful photos, they can also point you towards the best spots in the city.

Sweet Escape is giving a benefit for my followers to get US$50 discount + 30 extra photos for any Sweet Escape bookings worldwide by simply entering this code – “ALEXISJETSETS” – at the checkout page. You should try the Sweet Escape app and share your experience with us in the comments below.

Note that this is a collaboration with Sweet Escape.
