Oriental Residence Bangkok – Amazing Staycation to Celebrate Special Occasions

Do you spoil your loved ones on special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries? My boyfriend and I love surprising each other and we always take a short trip during the week of our anniversary. We went to Bangkok this year to celebrate our fifth year of being together, and were hosted at Oriental Residence Bangkok. This place offers 145 luxurious serviced apartments in the city’s most notable embassy and shopping district.

We felt right at home in the incredibly spacious one-bedroom suite boasting superior comfort. The fully equipped kitchen features a microwave, a mini bar and a coffee and tea maker. There is an iPod docking station near the work desk, and the living room and dining room are separate. We love the balcony which offers a breathtaking view of Bangkok’s skyline and enjoyed relaxing with a bubble bath in the lavish bathtub.

The swimming pool and the 24-hour fitness centre are located on the 4th floor. You can chill the afternoon away on the cushy cabanas and cozy egg chairs by the poolside. Those who enjoy swimming but are worried about getting too tanned will be pleased to know that part of the pool is sheltered. Moreover, you can grab delicious snacks and thirst-quenching drinks from the poolside café. As for the gym, there are personal trainers and coaching courses available, combined with quality cardiovascular and multi system resistance equipment.

Being greeted by a sumptuous breakfast spread in the morning at Café Claire completed our staycation experience at Oriental Residence Bangkok. Besides the buffet stations, there are also other items prepared a la minute. Among the wide variety of freshly brewed TWG tea available, our favourite was the Moonfruit Black Tea.

Oriental Residence Bangkok is certainly an ideal place for celebrating special occasions. Although you have to walk around 20 minutes to the city centre where Central World and Siam Paragon are situated at, the hotel’s impeccable service and lush amenities make the walk very worthwhile.
