Situated within the Marina Bay district, Conrad Centennial Singapore is a hotel that’s totally made for both business and leisure travellers. Jayden and I were hosted in the executive room with lounge benefits. During our stay, we felt completely pampered and relaxed. The following are 5 reasons why we recommend a staycation experience at Conrad Centennial Singapore.

#1 – Remarkable Executive Room with Lounge Benefits

We love the stunning view overlooking Marina Bay from our executive king room located on the higher floor. As a digital nomad, I’m very used to working from hotels and get annoyed whenever there’s no desk in the hotel room. At Conrad Centennial Singapore, I’m very pleased that I could work comfortably from the sofa and movable table with built-in universal power sockets and USB ports in the room. The spacious marble bathroom includes a double vanity sink, large bathtub and separate shower stall with rain shower. You’ll be spoilt for choice with luxury-branded bathroom amenities and 15 types of pillows from the hotel’s pillow menu.

The following are what we were entitled to during our stay:
– Personalised check in/out at the Executive Lounge on Level 31 boasting a Marina Bay view.
– Access to the Executive Lounge or Lounge by the Pool
– Daily buffet breakfast in the Executive Lounge or Lounge by the Pool or at Oscar’s Restaurant (Please note that breakfast at Lounge by the Pool has been temporarily stopped.)
– Delightful afternoon tea with finger sandwiches and cakes at the Executive Lounge
– Complimentary evening drinks with hors d’oeuvres at the Executive Lounge
– Complimentary light-pressing for a maximum of 3 items during the stay
– Complimentary Premium WiFi access throughout the hotel
– Complimentary use of meeting room for a maximum of 2 hours per day, subject to availability
– 20% discount on all a la carte spa treatments

#2 – Commendable Service Standard

I believe a hotel’s service standard is what makes them stand out, and Conrad Centennial Singapore’s value-added services for guests made Jayden and I feel special. On the first day of our stay, I lazed the afternoon away at the pool which features a view of the Singapore Flyer. You’ll be offered iced water and fresh fruits by the thoughtful servers at Lounge by the Pool.

I started the second day with a massage treatment at the Conrad Spa. The massage therapist, Joanne, was attentive and very helpful. Initially, I booked the unique bamboo massage because I’ve never experienced such a treatment. Joanne explained the different types of massages available and advised me to go for the Swedish massage instead, as I wanted to destress and loosen up. She’s afraid that the bamboo massage might be too painful for a slim person like me. She even demonstrated how the bamboo massage works just to satisfy my curiosity before beginning the Swedish massage.

#3 – Outdoor Pool with a Splendid View of the Singapore Flyer

You can soak up the sun and enjoy a refreshing swim at Conrad Centennial Singapore’s outdoor pool. The view looks even more beautiful at night when the surrounding buildings and the Singapore Flyer are illuminated.

#4 – Mouthwatering Cantonese Cuisine at Golden Peony and Cocktails at the Lobby Lounge

Immerse yourself in the elegance and opulence of the highly acclaimed Golden Peony and sample refined Cantonese delicacies, signature dim-sum and an artfully selected wine list. I’ll share more about our dining experience at Golden Peony in my next blog post.

The Lobby Lounge, with its plush seating, ambient lighting and live music, is a haven for relaxing. I’ve never thought that I’d enjoy drinking Gin until I’ve tried the personalised gin flavour at the Lobby Lounge. The mixologist created a fruity sweet gin upon my request and I loved it.

#5 – Convenient Location and Easy Accessibility

Conrad Centennial Singapore rises above the Marina Bay, and is of walking distance from the Esplanade, Marina Square, Suntec City and Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre, as well as, The Float. Food and entertainment options are aplenty around the hotel. With the Promenade MRT Station situated close to the hotel, Singapore’s iconic attractions are within easy reach.

It’s possible to spend the entire weekend in the hotel without heading out since we had everything we needed – comfortable room, delicious food, superb spa and numerous facilities and amenities – for a relaxing weekend at Conrad Centennial Singapore.
