CHUU – Never Stop Playing Dress Up with this Amazing Korean Fashion Brand

September 11, 2020

Are you a fan of K-drama? I wasn’t obsessed with K-drama until I’ve watched Crash Landing on You and Descendants of the Sun. Since then, I’ve been catching up with old K-dramas such as Uncontrollably Fond, My Love from Another Star, and Legend of the Blue Sea, just to name a few. I also started chasing newly released K-dramas. Besides the interesting (sometimes, relatable) plot and well-portrayed emotions, I enjoy watching K-dramas partly due to the actresses’ impeccable way of dressing. I guess Korean fashion revolves around ruffled tops, summer floral dresses, oversized pieces and more. Whether you prefer a cute, lively, sexy or elegant style, you can find it at CHUU. This is a Korean fashion brand you’ll fall in love with.

CHUU has 5 physical stores – 2 in South Korea (Hongdae and Myeong-dong) and 3 overseas in Taiwan and Hong Kong. Although travelling doesn’t seem to be possible in the near future, you can still shop online and have your beautiful garments conveniently delivered to your doorstep.

CHUU offers something for every season, from coats to dresses to pants to skirts to swimsuits to tops. They update their products frequently, so you’ll always be able to keep up with the Korean fashion trend. I love wearing floral dresses, so check out my ‘favourite fives’ from CHUU.

The Flora Wrap Dress (pictured left) is available in yellow and sky blue. It is slightly elastic and not figure-hugging. The soft and light fabric is great for Singapore’s weather. The ‘From Spring to Summer’ Wrap Dress (pictured right) is another perfect piece for Singapore’s climate. This dress is available in ivory and mint. Pair the dress with sandals for a picnic date with your significant other, or wear it with flats, casual heels and wedges for a brunch date with your girlfriends.

The Book of Flower Long Dress (pictured left) is quite loose-fitting and is available in mint, red and ivory. If you’re planning to go for a buffet or feast on Korean BBQ, there is plenty of space for your tummy to expand. This dress is good at keeping your ‘food baby’ hidden. The Lovely Cherry Wrap Dress (pictured right) is also quite loose and ends slightly above your knee. It is available in ivory and navy.

Last but not least, the Sweet Flower Ruffle Dress (pictured left), only available in yellow, flatters the figure very well. CHUU also sells a wide variety of masks – a necessity for everyone during this pandemic. I highly recommend the reusable Soft Pastel Mask which can be washed. There are many colours available. I picked the yellow soft pastel mask to match all the yellow dresses that I’ve been getting recently. Why not buy a few colours so you can match them with whatever outfits you have?

Hope you’ll enjoy shopping with CHUU!
