The Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon shines as one of the city’s foremost luxury hotels by offering pure opulence, superlative service and contemporary, cosseting comfort. Situated amongst lush, verdant greenery and a mere stone’s throw from the famous Kandawgyi Lake, the panoramic views are simply stunning.

Each of the hotel’s 300 guestrooms are spaciously designed, luxuriously furnished and adorned with local arts and crafts. Some rooms offer breathtaking views of Shwedagon Pagoda. You’ll find state-of-the-art technology for in-room connectivity and entertainment blended seamlessly with charming décor and furnishings. The balcony in my room looks out to the hotel’s beach-styled outdoor swimming pool, and I could catch the gorgeous sunset every evening.

If you happen to stay on floors 7 to 9, there are Chatrium Club Privileges which offer an added touch of luxury with a private check-in area, Chatrium Club Lounge access, complimentary high tea from 2pm to 4pm daily, complimentary happy hour cocktail experience from 5.30pm to 7.30pm daily, as well as other exclusive services just for you.

At the Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon, you can choose from six restaurants and bars for delicious dining ranging from the Kohaku Japanese restaurant to the Emporia restaurant which serves continental, Asian and Thai cuisine to the Tiger Hill Chinese restaurant and others. You can workout at the Fitness Centre, relax by the pool and rejuvenate at the Nemita Spa. The indulgent range of treatments include facials, massages, body scrubs and other blissful packages. Complimentary shuttle van services from the hotel to Shwedagon Pagoda and the downtown area are also available.

The meeting rooms and the Ballroom at the hotel are great for weddings, conferences and corporate events. Moreover, the hotel can also prepare an outdoor area by the pool for parties and banquets. During my stay at the hotel, I stumbled upon a poolside wedding. The set-up and flower arrangements made the venue very romantic. With the glistening sunset and Shwedagon Pagoda on the horizon, the married couple must have had a memorable wedding.

Good news for my readers – the Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon is offering ASEAN friendship rate to all ASEAN travellers! Key in the promo code “ASEAN” when you are booking via http://www.chatrium.com/chatrium_hotel_yangon/default-en.html to get 10% off room rates. This promotion is valid from 1 March 2018 to 30 September 2018.

I enjoyed my stay with the Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake Yangon and I hope you will too.
