Amari Watergate Bangkok – Rest & Relax at this Gorgeous Hotel

Before being invited to stay at Amari Watergate Bangkok for a 3D2N weekend, we have previously paid for our own accommodation at this hotel. Honestly speaking, the service standard is still well maintained, and the rooms are comfortable and clean. If you haven’t heard, Amari Watergate Bangkok is a 5-star hotel conveniently located close to Bangkok’s main shopping areas, with Platinum Fashion Mall located directly across the road. Also situated at the heart of Bangkok’s main business district, this hotel is perfect for both business and pleasure.

There are 569 spacious deluxe rooms and executive suites which are all well equipped for both business executives and leisure travelers alike. We were hosted at Amari Watergate Bangkok’s executive club room which was outfitted with broadband internet, a 40” LCD TV, and a DVD player. Upon request, guests will be able to choose their desired movie from a selection of DVDs available. It is a great idea to head back to the hotel to chill in front of the TV when you get tired from excessive walking during shopping! Trust us, your sore feet will be thanking you profusely.

The marble bathroom in our executive club room offered a shower, a separate bathtub, and double vanity. Given Bangkok’s sweltering heat, we were ecstatic upon pampering ourselves with a bubble bath when we returned to our hotel room.

As the executive club rooms occupy the higher floors, you will get spectacular panoramic views of the city from your room. Furthermore, staying on the executive floors entitles you to enjoy a private check-in/check-out service. You can also request for a complimentary late check-out until 3pm on your day of departure, but do note that it’s subjected to room availability.

There will be a welcome drink upon check-in, and you will have access to the executive lounge. We started our day with a delicious buffet breakfast. If you’re an early riser, you’ll be able to experience the unfolding backdrop of sunrise over Bangkok’s stunning skyline while having breakfast. You can also drop by at any time of the day for complimentary fruit juices, soft drinks, tea, or coffee. A range of chilled cocktails, beers, wines, and hot and cold hors d’oeuvres are also available during cocktail hours from 5pm to 7pm daily.

There’s a swimming pool with jacuzzi, children’s pool, and sun deck on the 8th floor. There is also a FIT centre featuring squash courts, cardio vascular room, gymnasium, saunas, aerobics and work-out studio. Not forgetting the Breeze Spa, where you can rest and rejuvenate.

Besides providing us with comfort, Amari Watergate Bangkok also offers convenience to their guests. Access to Bangkok’s two main airport expressways is unrivalled, so you’ll be able to make a rapid journey to and from both airports.

When it comes to Bangkok, there’s no lack of shopping! Amari Watergate Bangkok is just 5 minutes across the road from Platinum Fashion Mall, and there is a sky bridge that brings you to Big C supermarket and Centralworld in 10 minutes, the Siam area in 20 minutes, and MBK in approximately 25 minutes. Forget about walking under the scorching hot sun, as this sky bridge is sheltered all the way!

Need more time to shop? Well, you can get up as early as 6.30am for Pratunam Morning Market which is located just 2 minutes walk away from Amari Watergate Bangkok. Not a morning person? Don’t worry as the newly established Talad Neon Night Market is less than 10 minutes’ walk away. You can really shop till you drop!

We had a great time staying at Amari Watergate Bangkok, and would like to commend the hotel personnel for their infallible service. Oh, how we wished we have extended our stay!
