As a solo female traveller, it’s very important for me to stay connected to my family and friends during my trips. Back in 2011 when I was in Germany for 6 months on a student exchange trip, I did not feel that WiFi was important. I explored the European cities using physical maps, and only updated my loved ones about my whereabouts and daily adventures whenever I have WiFi back at the hostels. However, times have indeed changed and I can’t travel without WiFi connection nowadays. Since the first time I rented the Changi WiFi router from Changi Recommends, I’ve been their loyal supporter all the way till today. The following are 5 reasons why I love using the Changi WiFi router so much.

#1 – Hassle-free Rental Process

When I did a two months solo Europe trip in 2016, I bought sim cards whenever I entered a new country. I had to change my sim cards almost every 4 to 5 days and was so worried that I might misplace my original Singapore sim card. It was quite troublesome to keep switching sim cards. So, when I heard about the Changi WiFi router, I knew I had to use it.

The rental process is quite straightforward. You just have to reserve a router online, collect the Changi WiFi router from the Changi airport terminal that you’ll be departing from, make payment upon collection, and return it at your arrival terminal when you’re back in Singapore. Instead of changing your sim cards multiple times and worrying about losing your Singapore sim card, you’ll be able to travel with a peace of mind by simply connecting your phone to the Changi WiFi router overseas.

Ps. Cancellation is free.

#2 – Easy to Connect

Upon arriving at your holiday destination, turn on the Changi WiFi Router and enable the WiFi function on your mobile devices (mobile phones, tablets, laptops etc.). Refer to the SSID and Password indicated on the router. Choose the SSID name and enter the password on your mobile devices, and you’ll be instantly connected to the Changi WiFi.

#3 – Fast Connectivity Speed

In Japan, we had 4G network with unlimited data usage. The WiFi connection is strong even when we visited rural areas.

#4 – Allows Multiple Devices to Be Connected at One Time

We were able to connect up to 5 mobile devices when travelling around Japan, and the battery life is able to last up to 6 hours.

#5 – Convenient to Bring Around

The portable Changi WiFi router is small, light and does not take up much space in my bag. Even on days when I didn’t bring a backpack out, the router fitted perfectly well in my pocket.

If you’re travelling out from Singapore, you should consider renting the Changi WiFi router from Changi Recommends. Jayden and I were very satisfied with the Changi WiFi router. Go check out their promotions and pricing plans on their website!
