Xinshe Castle – Experience Europe in Taiwan

Xinshe Castle – Experience Europe in Taiwan

December 08, 2017

Also known as the Summit Resort, Xinshe Castle is situated in the mountainous area of Taichung. This medieval themed attraction made us feel as though we were in Europe. From Roman pillars and fountain to wooden houses and a secret garden to an impressive waterfall, there are many great photo spots at Xinshe Castle. This romantic setting is a popular destination for pre-wedding photoshoots. Imagine your favourite fairytale being brought to life!

We personally feel that the area around the picturesque lake is the best spot for a perfect photo. There is a pavilion near the parking lot, and this is where you will be able to frame the spectacular view of the castle with the bridge and the lake into a shot. The other well-liked photo spot of ours is the wooden walkway which connects one end of the waterfall to the other. We shot our pictures here using a drone.

You should climb up the castle and the wooden house for a panoramic view of Xinshe Castle before resting your legs at the Wine Chateau Restaurant or grab an aromatic coffee at the Hexagon. The Dora store offers memorable souvenirs which you can get for yourself and your loved ones.

We recommend allocating approximately 2 hours to discover the charms of Xinshe Castle. Please apply plenty of sunblock and insect repellant, especially if you are visiting during summer. This attraction is ideal for family and friends, and we were so glad we decided to drop by last minute.

Hi, May I ask which drone you are using and the camera resolution? Thanks!

Hi there! I’m using DJI Mavic Pro. The camera on the Mavic Pro handles a handful of shooting resolutions, and speeds, with video capture up to C4K (4096 x 2160) at 24 fps (frames per second,) down to 720p capture, but that 1280 x 720 resolution starts at 24 fps and can boost up to 120 fps. You should consider getting one! (:
