Regent Singapore – Escape to a Serene Urban Oasis where Gracious Accommodation and Award-winning Cuisine Pamper the Most Discerning Guests
March 25, 2020

Situated in a green enclave, Regent Singapore offers the perfect balance of tranquility and proximity to Singapore’s main attractions. It’s a stone’s throw from Orchard Road and minutes to the tranquil Singapore Botanic Gardens. The hotel comprises 440 well-appointed rooms and suites designed with peaceful relaxation in mind, balancing classic style with modern comfort – ideal for both business and leisure travellers. You can look forward to indulging in a world of the finest culinary traditions at the hotel’s seven food and beverage outlets. Moreover, you will be pampered by their above-and-beyond service.
Jayden and I were hosted in the newly refurbished Premium Room with Regent Club access. Spacious and well lit, the rooms are equipped with a private workstation and a wealth of home-away-from-home comforts designed to keep us entertained, connected and well rested after a long day of work.
We enjoyed exclusive access to a dedicated lounge, business facilities, private meeting rooms, unlimited garment pressing, 5 pieces of laundry cleaning per stay (excluding dry cleaning services), and express checking in or out in the club lounge at our own leisure (subject to availability). We’ve also tried the gourmet treats at the Regent Club during the afternoon tea session and cocktails with hors d’oeuvres in the evening with a curated Manhattan cocktail programme.
Apart from all the perks that I’ve just mentioned, all guests of the Regent Club are entitled to an exclusive discount of 15% off Basilico, Tea Lounge, Dolcetto, Summer Palace and a 20% discount off tailoring services at Razee Gift Shop as well.
Regent Singapore’s Fitness Centre is a haven of holistic health and wellbeing with a fully equipped gym, pool, sauna and steam room, and therapeutic body treatments for a pampering retreat inspired by wellness traditions around the world. I loved starting my mornings at the outdoor swimming pool with a refreshing dip while Jayden either lounged in the sun or spent the time working out in the gym. Here’s a thoughtful gesture by the hotel – sunscreen, goggles, newspapers, magazines and children’s swim floats are available poolside.
We had breakfast at Basilico which offers a huge spread of local and international buffet items. You can choose to dine al fresco on the terrace overlooking the pool. There’s one particular outlet you cannot miss out on when staying at Regent Singapore – Manhattan.
Inspired by the Golden Age of cocktails and fine drinking, Manhattan is reminiscent of a grand hotel bar, modern yet with a touch of old New York glamour and sophistication. Choose your tipple from artisanal spirits, and classic and forgotten cocktails, meticulously crafted from the world’s first in-hotel rickhouse and a remarkable collection of house-made ingredients, accompanied by gourmet bar bites. Manhattan was recently placed 11th in World’s 50 Best Bars and 2nd in Asia’s 50 Best Bars.
Regent Singapore is a great hotel for staycations since it’s near the city, yet far enough so you can still relax in your own slice of tranquil paradise. We’re glad to have experienced a staycation here. We’re planning to try the food at the Michelin one-star Summer Palace Cantonese Restaurant next time, and we’ll definitely revisit Manhattan.
